Welcome to Golf Happens

Golf Happens has been meeting the needs of greater Seattle golfers for eight years.  Our success is based on ensuring our customers’ satisfaction through personal attention and service, quality components, competitive pricing, and guaranteed craftsmanship.

We believe—

Most golfers will not commit to hours of practice time and expensive lessons.  Therefore, the only realistic way to improve shot making is to make a change in equipment which will truly:

  • Alter the flight pattern of the ball;
  • And, the performance of the club for the golfer.

Our custom clubs help golfers of all ability levels make the most out of their swings.

Specializing in precision-made highest quality golf equipment is of the utmost importance.

The key to performance improvement is custom-fitting and building clubs to the individual golfers’ specifications as well as their game characteristics.

Consider your game

Are you playing the right clubs?

Club set make-up is a major factor affecting the distance, accuracy, and trajectory of your shot and the feel of your club. The rules allow you to carry fourteen clubs, but there are at least twenty-two different clubs to choose from. So which ones are best for you?

Should you use a driver? If your average drive is longer than 200 yards and you hit more than 33% of your shots in the fairways, stick with the driver. If you're hitting fewer than one in three of your shots in the fairways, consider changing to a shorter-length driver or dropping it altogether in favor of a "Strong 3" or "3 wood."

Do you lose efficiency throughout your set? Many golfers find that they have two or three clubs that carry roughly the same distance. If so, consider replacing them with specialty clubs, i.e., 7 or 9 woods, driving irons or multiple wedges.

To determine whether a fairway wood would be more effective consider the following:

  • Fairway woods produce more carry than long irons in moist, soft conditions.
  • Courses with elevated greens or forced carries also signal the need for fairway woods.
  • Do you hit down on the ball well? If " no' add fairway woods, which require a sweeping motion.

Reshafting

If your driver or fairway woods are major brand name clubs with that company's generic graphite shaft and you are having problems with lack of distance, unusually high trajectory, directional control, and or an unsolid club feel, you probably have a shaft problem.

The problem starts when major golf club manufacturers select one type of graphite shaft to be installed in thousands of woods. This " one shaft fits all" approach does not work for the entire golfing population. The manufacturers expect all types of golfers, with varying abilities to play this one shaft and get acceptable results. Selecting the proper shaft for your game is one of the most important fitting variables' in club performance. Do what tour professionals and all serious golfer do, select the shaft that best matches your individual abilities and performance needs.
